Gary Leitch – Race Engine Builder

Gary brings with him many years of engine building experience getting his start on high performance engines at DART machine 15 years ago after already spending 15 years in automotive rebuilding.

Having built engines with the former AP Performance Racing – with Tim Sauter having much success with Gary’s skills as an engine builder – Tim won the ASA championship in 1999.

After AP Performance Racing closed, Gary continued on with AP Racing Engines until Dec/04 when he decided to go out on his own. Many drivers and owners had been pushing Gary to build engines directly for them for several years and thus Leitch Performance Engines was born. 

With five racing seasons behind him now, quite a few race series championships and a ton of feature wins, Leitch Performance Engines is fast earning a reputation as a respected engine builder.  To see the success of LPE engines to date - check out the Victory Lane pages.

2009 shaped up to be yet another very busy year, as the shop was at full capacity preparing engines for for another exciting race season.
